Escrow Policy
The purpose of establishing escrow deposit for review fees is to provide for a deposit escrow account for fees ordinarily charged during this review process conducted by appropriate Boards of the Town of Marlborough. This action does not increase the cost incurred by an applicant but simply requires deposits in advance for requested reviews.

Effective January 1, 2014:
Residential subdivisions require a minimum deposit of $500 plus $150 per lot.

Lot line revisions require a minimum deposit of $300.

Multi-family site plans are $500.00 plus $100 per unit.

Commercial sub/divisions require $400 per lot for the first four lots and $200 per lot for each additional lot.

All other site plans require $750 minimum.
Reimbursed & Additional Deposits
Any portion of the deposit not expended during the review shall be returned to the applicant upon final action by the appropriate charges. If at any time during the review process the account falls below 25% of the original amount, the appropriate board may require an additional deposit of up to 50% of the original amount. This action may continue to repeat as necessary until final completion of the review.
