Ulster County Businesses: Prepare to Reopen!

Many thanks to the hundreds of Ulster County business owners who took time out of their busy schedules to participate in a webinar with Ulster County Executive Pat Ryan and members of the Economic Development team last week. If you are one of the 25 % of businesses owners who are unsure of how your business is classified, this tool will help you determine what phase your business will be eligible to reopen during, and the public health and safety standards with which your business must comply.

Although we are still on Pause, it is crucial that Ulster County businesses included in Phase One – construction, agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting, curbside retail, manufacturing, and wholesale trade— begin preparing now.

The next step is to download your New York State Safety plan template. These are available by visiting https://forward.ny.gov/industries-reopening-phase

Certify your business with Ulster County Ulster County is also requiring businesses fill out this form to certify they have created a plan. The form also includes a one-question survey about Ulster County business needs.
