FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Nearby Covered Bridges in Ulster County
The Marlborough Historical Society welcomes Daniel Snavely to the Milton Train Station, where he will give a presentation on his research on the seven covered bridges that are located within the lower Catskill Mountains.
Dan was born in Illinois, lived in Colorado for 10 years, studied in Chicago, and went on to enjoy a long career working for IBM in Dutchess County. Since his retirement in 2018, Dan has devoted his time to tutoring first and second graders in reading, volunteering for the Time and the Valleys Museum in Grahamsville, working on the implementation of an Augmented Reality Sandbox, and continuing to photograph and study the covered bridges of Ulster and Sullivan Counties.
The historic Milton Train Station was built in 1883 and is located at 41 Dock Road, Milton, NY, next to the Milton Landing Park on the Hudson River. The train station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
